Rian Lynch's writing career began when they could first hold a pencil. By 13 years old, they had already won a regional literary award. Their love of writing continued into adulthood, when, in 2019, they began working toward their lifelong dream of becoming a traditionally-published author.

Rian's genres of choice fall under the speculative fiction umbrella, with plots straddling fantasy and reality. They regularly revisit themes of resilience, queerness, and human connection.

Rian is also a PhD candidate, post-secondary educator, and behavioural analyst. When they’re not buried beneath an ever-growing pile of research articles, they can be found dampening their too-many houseplants, reorganizing their too-large book collection, or getting lost in the woods.
 
Rian currently resides in Ontario, Canada, with their partner, rescue mutt, two cats, and two horses.
