Rian Lynch's writing career began when he could first hold a pencil, and by the age of 13, he had already won a regional literary award. His love of writing continued into adulthood, when, in 2019, he began seriously pursuing his lifelong dream of becoming a traditionally-published author.

Rian's genres of choice fall under the speculative fiction umbrella, with plots straddling fantasy and reality. He regularly revisits themes of queerness, resilience, and human connection.

Rian is also a PhD candidate, post-secondary educator, and behavioural analyst. When he's not buried beneath an ever-growing pile of research articles, he can be found watering his too-many houseplants, reorganizing his too-large book collection, or getting lost in the woods.
 
Rian currently resides in Ontario, Canada, with his husband, rescue mutt, two cats, and two horses.
